Payment & Ordering
At Playbox Zone we have tried to make the order process as simple as possible, to place an order follow the steps below:
1. Every item on the website has an “Add to Cart” or “Preorder” button. To add the item you want to your cart click on this button (you will see the item appear in your “Shopping Cart”, located on the right hand side below the “Login” box).
2. Repeat step one for every item you wish to buy.
3. If you are a returning customer then please enter your username and password now (if you have forgotten your password then please follow the instructions in the “I have forgotten my password” FAQ).
4. When you are ready to check your cart out click on the “Checkout” link (located beneath your products in the “Shopping Cart” box), this will take you to a cart summary so you can check that the items you want are correct or make changes as needed (remember to click on “Update” before continuing).
5. If everything looks fine then click on the “Continue” button to create your account. Fill in the required details (all fields that have an * next to them), then click on “Continue”.
6. Your next step is to confirm the postage method for the transaction (Please see “Delivery” for an explanation of the different shipping methods”. If you do not have any out of stock, backorder or preorder items in your order then you will only see one method. Click “Continue” to go to the next step.
7. If you have any gift vouchers, promotional codes or want to redeem some or all of your Playbox Points (see “General” section for an explanation of Playbox Points) then enter your codes/points value into the relevant fields here, promotions and Playbox Points can be used together. Remember to recalculate your price before clicking on “Continue”, once an order is placed we cannot correct any mistakes with this step.
8. Your final step is to select your payment method. Click on the button for the relevant method (for a description of payment methods please see the “What payment options do I have?” FAQ).
To remove or change an item or items in your shopping cart using one of two methods. Click on the “Edit cart” link next to the Total in your Shopping Cart on the right hand side of the website. From this summary screen you can:
1. click on the remove link next to each item you wish to remove or
2. change the quantity (entering a 0 will remove the item from cart) and then click on “Update”.
Preordering an item allows you to place an order for an item before it has actually been released. Preordering reserves the item for you and will ensure your item is sent out to you as soon as it is released.
Yes, as with any order as soon as you checkout you will be charged for all items in your shopping cart, but you can cancel the order at any time prior to shipping and be refunded in full.
With most items you are likely to receive the item on the release day as Playbox Zone will send it out to you early. However, occasionally items are not received by us until the actual day of release. In these cases there would be a delay in you receiving your order. Playbox Zone makes every effort to ensure preorders are sent out as soon as they are received into stock. Also, with some rare and very limited items, the first stock received may not be allocated to your order and you may have to wait for the second shipment to arrive before receiving your order.
You can pay for your order with any of the following:
1. Internet Bank Transfer (our preferred payment method; ensure your order number is used as a reference!)
2. Bank Deposit (payment details available on the invoice you receive on Checkout; ensure your order number is used as a reference!)
3. Secure Credit Card payment (VISA or MASTERCARD only; fastest method).
4. Cheque / Postal Order (this method can delay your order until the cheque / postal order has been received and cleared.
Items are generally only out of stock for a few days at the most and they will be sent out as soon as they are back in stock, however some older items can take a little longer to come back into stock as there might be a distribution delay on them. If you would like to know an estimated date of arrival for any items please contact us via our contact page.
Yes, all prices on the PlayboxZone.com.au website are in Australia Dollars and include G.S.T.
Any order can be cancelled as long as it hasn’t already been shipped.
Playbox Zone uses several different status conditions to track orders:
- Pending – Shopping cart was abandoned, these orders are automatically removed after 7 days.
- Payment – Checkout completed but a cheque/postal order or direct debit payment option was selected.
- Paid – Checkout completed and payment has been received.
- Order Sent – Your order has been completed and sent out to you.
- Cancelled – Your order has been cancelled.
- Refunded – Your order has been cancelled and your money refunded to your credit card or bank account.
Prodcuts General
- In-Stock – Products are in stock or at the distribution centre
- Out of stock/Back Order – Products are out of stock or expected in to the distribution centre soon.
- Preorder – Product hasn’t been released.
At the current time Playbox Zone does not run a trade-in service, although in the very near future we will be implementing one, stay tuned!
Unfortunately, promotional items are normally limited edition items and also limited numbers. It is very much first come first served with these things with no guarantee that you will get one.
PC & Consoles: Australia is specified as Region 4. This means that some items may work on your non-Australian system but most generally will not, most PC games are region free. Accessories should work regardless of region unless otherwise stated by the manufacturer.
DVDs: If you have a region-free DVD player, then any of our DVD’s will work on your player. Not all DVD players are region-free but most can be opened up to all regions using a simple code, codes are generally obtainable from the internet (Playbox Zone in no way accepts responsibility for any problems or faults that might occur from using codes, software or cracks obtained from the internet).
Playbox Zone can take orders from dealers or wholesale companies. Please contact us and let us know the items you are interested in and we can work out a price that suits all parties.
Delivery
Playbox Zone delivers to every corner of Australia.
Delivery overseas can be arranged but please contact us first for a delivery cost and revised quote.
Playbox Zone’s delivery charges start at $5.25 per package. We work on a weight system though so after 1kg of weight the cost will increase. Some consoles and larger items incur higher postage due to the weight and need for insurance on them.
To see the cost of your postage simply add the items you want to your cart and on the 3rd step of the checkout you will see a complete breakdown of postage and item costs.
Normal delivery time for an order is anywhere from 2 days to 10 days. We use Australia Post for our delivery service and have no control over their delivery times. Outlying regions can take much longer to get deliveries than city CBD’s and inner suburbs.
That is actually up to you. During checkout you will be asked to choose your preferred delivery method from the following:
1. Send all items at the same time – this method will delay your order until the final item has been released.
2. Send all available items now and preorder/backorder items later – this method sends out all available items immediately then all preorder/backorder items when the final item is ready.
3. Send all items individually – this method sends all items available in one package but all preorder/backorder items in separate packages. This can increase your postage costs significantly.
Yes you can but if you are paying with a credit card we will still need to know your billing address exactly as shown on the credit card statement or your order may be cancelled.
Normal delivery times are within 10 days but Australia Post but please contact us if it has been longer stating your Playbox Zone order number (PBZ***) as shown on your invoice and we will start an investigation with Australia Post. These can take some time to complete though so please be patient with us.
Should the Australia Post investigation return a finding of a lost item then we will of course send another one out to you.
Returns
To return an item first contact us via our contact page quoting your Playbox Zone order number and the problem that you are experiencing with the item.
One of our support staff will reply to your email with the process to follow for return of the item.
Playbox Zone will accept returned items if the item is faulty or not the item ordered.
Online games will not be replaced under any circumstances unless damaged.
Account & Privacy
To create an account with Playbox Zone simply click on the “No account yet? Create one” link in the Login Box located on the right-hand side of the website. Alternatively, you can add items to your cart and register for Playbox Zone during “Checkout”.
Click on the “Forgotten your password?” link in the Login Box located on the right-hand side of the website to be taken to the password retrieval page. You must know your registered email address to do this.
Contact Playbox Zone staff (using our contact form) stating your name and address (for security reasons). We will then reset your password and contact you via your registered email address to let you know your username (we can also tell you your registered email address if it is different to the contact address used.
If you are unable to find or follow the link on the newsletter to unsubscribe then just login to you account and under the Member Control Section (click on Home in the Login Box) is the option to unsubscribe from Playbox Zone’s newsletter. Alternatively, contact a Playbox Zone staff member (via our contact form) and we will remove you from our mailing list.

No. In order to make the PLAYSTATION®3 more affordable and therefore more accessible to a wider audience, some of the PLAYSTATION®3 system’s functionality has been amended. This includes the removal of PlayStation®2 architecture within PLAYSTATION®3. This is due to a reduced emphasis placed on this feature by later purchasers of PLAYSTATION®3, as well as the availability of a more extensive line-up of PLAYSTATION®3 specific games, which will probably number a total of 65 titles across all genres by Christmas 2007.
